I have a 2003 3.5 liter Altima. I had an accident and my car was repaired by a facility my auto insurance is affiliated with.  There are quite a few things that need to be corrected after the fact, but I noticed when I open the hood, it needs to be held up by a support stick and when I go to close it, it falls and doesn't latch unless I push on it.  I don't open the hood much, but I thought it had an automatic stay so that the lid can stay open without a stick, and also, when it is closed-  it shouldn't slam shut.  Does anyone know what kind of hood latching system there is?  I need this info to go back to the repairing center.   Greatly appreciate it!
