I am curious about my Red 4-door 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix...

I am curious about my Red 4-door 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix 3800/V6 w/Gray flame/racers on each side. I'd like to know what is supposed to be just below the ashtray in front of the gear shift. It is an auto with gear between seats. Any and all help is appreciated. Also, a price estimate would be nice, curious as to where to purchase low-cost floor mats for front and back seats, that go with this vehicle.
