Access Control - What Access Control !!!

I have three mature teenage kids. Like all teenagers they wish to chat with  there friends using "Windows live messenger 8" Sadly AOL's internet access  control's along with AOL parental control's have a major bug!

In order for the Im setting to be effective you have to set the children to  18+  this then automatically disables the activity reports leaving the children  free to use, or abuse the internet however they wish.

Discussing this with AOL live help, (on the few occasions that I have found  an operator that could read) I have been advise to persuade my children to use  AOL's IM. Sadly Windows live messenger is the better product by far and I can't  blame my children for wanting to use it.

I have informed AOL of this problem but no progress has been made during the last six months. So I have to resign myself to the fact that if you care about your children's safety on-line then you have to find a service provider who cares more than AOL.
