hallo,
i'm using g++ 4.0.1 on solaris 10.
exist any option to avoid the optimizing of
things like this: static const name[]="any string";
varibales like this, i have in every .H and .C file and all are unused (used for version information), i got them until now by reading the elf-file (with libelf) in section: .rodata .
now the optimizer delete them, also in debug mode. the option : keep-static-consts give no other result.
thanks for help
