i have just put compact fluro globes in my house, i find some lights will flicker on at night time when nothing is on. i have checked wiring and it appears ok. although it is an old house and has no earth to the light fitting, the ones that are flickering have large metal casing (i no the dangers but its a rental)could it have something to do with build up of charge in the fittings
