I am currently restoring a 1981 gmc sierra, it started life with a 4.1 liter six cylinder, i have since put in a .30 over 350, headers, dual flowmasters, holley double pumper, torker 2 intake and lots of other goodies, it has a th 350 tranny, the deal is if i dont keep the rpm'sup high the engine tends to run sluggish (like driveing a standard tranny in 5th gear when it should be in 3rd)i havent got around to working the rear end of the truck yet, as long as i keep the rpm'shigh (hence drive it like a standard, shifting from 2nd to 3rd at around 45-50 mph she runs great, are the gears in the rearend the problem as im sure they are factory and were set up for a six cylinder and not a hi po 350, this thing will fly down the highway easily pegging the speedo at half throttle, any ideas or suggestions, i want to use this truck to pull my boat and play a little with on the weekends and to be a very responsive street rod.
