I have a 1997 Dodge Avenger 2.5 auto. The car worked...

I have a 1997 Dodge Avenger 2.5 auto.  The car worked perfectly until the day after I had the front exhaust flex pipe fixed at a Midas muffler shop.  I am not saying that they caused the problem,  it may be just a fluke.  Anyway,  As I attempted to start the car yesterday,  it cranked over but would not make any attempt to start.  I checked the spark at the plug wires and there was none.  Any thoughts as to what may cause this.  Thanks in advance for any help.
