I suppose it would depend on the health of your dog but you can try mixing the food with cooked meat and or cooked eggs and add garlic powder (not garlic salt) and soak the kibble in sodium free chicken broth or sodium free beef broth and then slowly reduce the amount of meat or eggs from the kibble until you only have the kibble and broth left. I would do it over about 10-14 days , but before you try this you should speak to a reputable Veterinarian.

You told me the reason your dog won't eat when you were asking the question. The dog found out that if he doesn't eat his regular food he will get tasty treats from the table instead. When my dogs won't eat their food I take it away until next meal. If they won't eat then I repeat the process until they eat. They get NO treats until they eat their food. Your dog will NOT starve. He's just making you think this. Some times it takes 4-5 skipped meals but they will eat when they are hungry. DON'T let your dog teach you to do whatever they want. If you "don't have the heart to do this" then you will have problems training your dog because he learns he can control you if he makes you feel sorry for him. Learn to take control and be "the leader of the pack."

erin don't EVER feed you're dog cooked meat cooked eggs garlic powder chicken broth or beef broth because dogs are not suppose to be eating  human food because you're dog and i say will probably die ecspacially if you feed it broth because i tryed it with my dog and my dog died and i just got a new 1 so DON'T EVER FEED YOU'RE DOG cooked meat, cooked eggs, garlic pwoder, chicked broth, or beef broth what you do is you mix the food with water so the dog will smell the aroma and go to it and eat it that's what i do with my dog and it's working great!

We have a Yorkie Russell who is also the same way.  We started feeding her less from the table and she started to slowly pick at her food.  I always make sure that her food bowl is full and she will take a bite here and there with a catch - she will sit beside the bowl and whine until you place a handful of food on the food.  She will then eat a few bites.  She will also eat dry cat food.

Your dog might have eaten something that is blocking in their intestine i.e. a chew toy~ hence, their not wanting to eat or drink water. Take your dog to the vet immediately, not eating is a sign of something wrong.

In light of the recent poisoning of commercial dog food, I am now feeding my 2 beloved Jacks nothing that I would not eat myself.  If you do any research into the "pet food industry", you will realize that it is just a money making scam.  Up until about 50 years ago, there were no commercially produced pet foods and therefore pets ate leftover scraps from the table.

When I was growing up, we always had at least 1 dog, our German Shepherd named "Lady", but we usually has another one to keep her company and they ate table scraps.  Lady NEVER ate commercial dog food even once in her 19 year life.

Yes you read that correctly, Lady lived to be 19, so go ahead and feed your dogs real food, and enjoy their company for a few extra years.
