So sorry! Mine was diagnosed in August, she passed in November, she was 4 and a half years old. She was my walking buddy. Loved her alot. I still miss her.I too was told it was common in that breed, but I did not know it. I went the prednisone and antibotic route. They do have some success with chemo(extends life for maybe 6 months to a year)there is not a cure for this.I now have another golden 4 months old, I just love the breed. She will not replace Cody, but she helps ease the pain.
