I am allergic to some dogs. I would like to get a dog but I don't know what kind. What kind of dog should I get?

you should get a soft coated wheaten terrier they are very nice pets i have one and her name is casey.

My husband has been allergic to dogs all his life - and we got a Miniature Schnauzer last year. He has never had an allergic reaction to her. They are very smart, trainable dogs!

I think that you should get a havanese. They are incredibly loving dogs who actually DO NOT HAVE A NATURAL BODY ODOR. I own one and it does not shed at all. It is wonderful with children and does not require much exercise. Havanese are wonderful dogs for owners with allergies

We wanted a small dog that does not shed.  We went to the vet and called 3 other vet's all of them advised us to get a miniature Schnauzer.  I have had dogs my whode life and never believed there was a dog out there that did not shed. I am now a believer.  We have had her almost 10 years now.  She does not shed, and there have been no allergies due to this.
