HI, IM WANTING TO INSTALL A REMOTE STARTER IN A 2002 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LARADO, AND WAS TOLD BY REMOTE STARTER DISTRIBUTOR THAT ALL I HAVE TO DO TO DISABLE THE FACTORY ALARM TO REMOTE START IS TO CONNECT FACTORY ALARM SHUT DOWN WIRE FROM STARTER UNIT TO A 775 RELAY THROUGH A 470 OHM RESISTOR. ALSO SAID THAT THE WIRE WAS LT. GREEN WITH AN ORANGE STRIPE AND THE ONLY PLACE TO CONNECT IT IS AT THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCK SWITCH. IF THIS IS RIGHT WOULD THERE POSSIBLY BE AN EASIER PLACE TO CONNECT ALL THIS WITHOUT PULLING THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR PANEL OFF. WOULD THERE ALSO BE THE SAME WIRE IN THE DRIVER SIDE KICK PANEL.
