hello.

I bought a chihuahua who was 8 weeks old in October, and when we got him, the seller told us that his eye had been scratched by another pup they had while they were playing.

The seller provided ointment that they had received from the vet for him, and they gave is the ointment. We applied it as instructed, for the time instructed.

A short time afterwords, I don't remember when, we noticed that the dog we had bought seemed to sleep with one or both eyes open. The left eye, which we are suspicious about, seems to be the one that is normally open during sleep, while the other eye closes mostly.

His behavior seems to be slower than other other chihuahua, and regardless of his slower behavior, we are wondering if it is possible that he is blind in his left eye. It seems to be slightly clouded over, it looks black, almost dry, and often times there is a coat of green goop over it.

I know we should go see a vet, but I wanted to see peoples advice as well.

Thanks. mystic.
