Try using the File/Save Attachments option in Outlook Express and save the attachment to your desktop or any directory of your choosing and then open the attachment.

I Have been told by a friend in Greece That he's sending an e mail for two days in raw, but I never received any . tell what to do.

Open Outlook Express! Go to Tools /accounts /options /security remove the check in the box that says, do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that may potentially be a virus. Restart the computer if it does not work right away!!!!!!

While in outlook, click on Tools, Options, then click on the Security Tab. There you see there is a check selected on (Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus.) Remove this check and you'll receive and see the paper clip, letting you know which messages have an attachment. Hope this help.. adulted_@hotmail.com

NOT AN ANSWER,BUT AN INQUIRY MY ATTACHMENT<ON THE E MAIL GIVES ME AN "CAN NOT OPEN" THE ATTACHMENT SUBJECT IS FOLLOWED BY A PERIOD .cdr suggesting it was sent with a different file form.AND WON'T OPEN.

This is not an answer i'm stating this in case this is happening to others. My yahoo won't let me open my mail!When i click on it it loads and pops-up a page that says "This page doesn't exist". I tried restarting my computer and everything! This has been going on now for 3 dayz. My name ^ there is my yahoo e-mail address. sex-female

ok this is a question not a answer. I go to outlook express, then I set up a hotmail account on it and then it says the server is currently unnavailable. WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!

ANSWER: I'm using Outlook 2002 (XP). If you search help for "attachments". There is a category called "Attachment file types blocked by Outlook". Click on that and it explains that Microsoft simply won't allow you to open (or save) those file types. If you are experiencing this problem, try requesting that your friend/colleague/whomever put the file in a ZIP (or on their website) and have them e-mail you either the ZIP file or the link on their website. What you need to do is : 1) shut down your pc 2) unplug all the cables 3) repackage the machine and take it back to the retailer you got it from and tell him/her the following : "please take my computer off of me as i am too f**king stupid to understand even the most basic principles and should therefor not be allowed to own or operate a pc." 4) now leave the shop and go and live your pathetic lamer life in peace!
