I am on a major hunt for Botanical name of Indian spice...

I am on a major hunt for Botanical name of Indian spice locally known as Maretti Moggu or Moggu or Marathi Moggu .
I was told by our local agricultural University that it is Cappari Spinosa.
But I am not convinced Can anyone help ?

A quick google shows that you seem to have found your answer elsewhere. Piper cubeba was it?

Yes, it is Cappari Spinosa, or capers, but in the immature bud stage and dried (like cloves), not the flowering bud stage nor pickled as Europeans and Americans use them.
