My wife's 1995 Dodge Stratus has a factory stereo with CD...

My wife's 1995 Dodge Stratus has a factory stereo with CD player below it. It does not have any bass to it. I bought another radio and replaced it and it is doing the same thing, NO BASS! What am I missing? Can someone help?
