I had a remote start taken off a 95 chevy monte carlo and put on a 97 chevy tahoe.  While driving away the transmission started making noise.  It got worse and I took it back to where it was installed.  It only worked in 4 wheel drive.  I made the installer take it to a dealership nearby to check out the problem since it started right after I had the remote starter installed.  The dealership said it was "the output snap ring on the transfer case" was broken.  They want $200.00 to fix it and the remote installer says it's not his fault.  Any suggestions or opinions?
