Light switch works an outlet on one wall but I want to put up a ceiling fan. I hooked up the fan and wired it to the wires coming from the outlet to the switch now the light is very dim and the fan is slow. Nothing works unless there is somthing pluged into the outlet. What have I done wrong??? The home was built in 1996. All of the bedrooms are the same with just one set of wires coming into the switch. Thank you for any help you can give me!!!!!
