Can a person miscarry and then get a pregnancy test done and it shows positive?

My Daughter had  alot of blood come out of her,  she thought it was from a hemroid they told her she had last yr.   she also had pain on her side but thought it was from coughing alot because she had a bad sinus infection,  the next day she had blood clots.     then 2 to 3 wks later she had a pregnancy test and it said it was positive.    I am so worried but she doesnt seem to be and isnt telling the doctore any of this until her first visit which is at the end of the month.
