My 10 year old corgi has a one inch diameter lump on the curve of her hind leg.  It's been there for years at half the size, however, in the past couple of weeks she has started really picking at it and it seems to have grown.  Money is short and every time we take her to the vet they seems to say " nothing we can do" and then charges huge amounts.  Is this something to be concerned about or will it go away on its own, or can I treat it myself?  Thanks so much.
