I have been using visuals for 18 years now and they work great.  Each strip can be cut into four so it ends up costing about six times less than using a meter.  If everyone did it this way it would save about $8 billion dollars in the U.S. alone.

Could you give some more detail about price and sources?

I did some pricing online and it didn't look like the visual strips (cut in thirds) would be much cheaper than the Accuchek Advantage strips I can get on eBay (about 30-40 cents each). I couldn't find any Betachek or Chemstrip visuals on eBay.

TIA

Betachek visual is a pink/blue visual read blood glucose test. Betachek visual is a premium test with twin reactive pads and a 26 colour comparison chart providing precision in result interpretation and ease of use. A drop of blood is placed on the strip and wiped off after 30 seconds. The strip is then compared to the colour chart for a result after another 30 seconds. Betachek Visual is sold in more than 50 countries around the world.  Betachek visual strips are the only visual strips in the world with a large range from 0 to 55 mmol/L(9-991 mg/dl) You can obtain the results in just 60 seconds and 3 simple steps without using a meter! www.betachek.com  email them to: info@betachek.com
