I bought a car from a woman in June of 2005, & sold it in March of 2006. The woman calls me in September of 2006, saying she's getting parking tickets in NYC (Midtown). The summons (5 or 6 of them) are like exp.regi, missing plate, plate not matching registration. The DMV issued this woman an FS-6 recipt for surrendering her plates back in 2005. The woman also claims to have faxed that info to the traffic violations bureau & they reduced the fines. If they acknowlege the FS-6 & shows that it is no longer her car, why should she have to pay anything?
