Yes, of course use could do that, but I'm assuming you are refering to placeing tem into a good quality everyday workhorse machine.  They would have to fit n be secured stepped, shimmed if necessary. You would have to have same approx. height so can still make proper gap settings.  What's your power source and at what amerage?  Does your gear ave readout of actualy voltage out?  Not just a setting with averages, then are springs to consider, that a lotta pull, all decent components ,wires clip footswitch etc can handle higher dc volts. What equipment do you use? Why would you do this? Heat build-up ,some problem? Explain why and I'll tell ya how to fix or check it.  What voltage are you gonna run you could use very high dc current without disippation problems or damage. I might use it in a liner, but it's overkill for anything.  Where did you get it? use in pair with right rated cap.  A liner same springs? Perfectly acceptable but seems like killing cockroaches with a bazooka.  Are you tattooing tortoises or rhinos with a 120 magnum?  I'd like to try a machine like the one your building? If your a kid mucking about be safe with the ac wall current!  Good luck
