I have a cell which contains a DOB (11.02.93) and I wish in anoyther cell to be able to calculate the age on a given date (31.08.03). I have been playing with formulas to try to get what to do but keep getting 'VALUE!'. Can anyone help pplease?

Set the cell format of your "date" cells to "date." Do not use a period as a separator. Use a slash (/) or a dash (-). in the cell that  you want an answer, use a formula such as: =(cell containing today's date)-(cell containing beginning date)/365. The answer will  be in the number of years and does not account for leap years. The slash indicates "divide". If you want months, then use 30 instead of 365.
