i wanted to save the output which appears in the console window in running a normal c++ program?

That's a bit tricky.  It's easy in Linux--you use the "tee" command.  In windows, you can either a) modify your program to save output in an external file, or b) use a console (ie shell) that can save history in a buffer and then store it to a file.

As a last resort, you can take a screenshot
(with ctrl-alt-printscreen) and paste it into a paint or word document.

redirect the output to a file. for eg. in the command prompt,
C:\>Killme > this.txt

Then this.txt will contain the console output.

Anyway, this will work only for that specific program.
