I think my corn snake's tail is going to fall off due to the skin not shedding properly, is this bad?  I just bought it last weekend for my son and it shed the next night!!  Now it is turning black and it might have older skin under the new shedded skin. Please help,  I soaked it in a bath and put olive oil on his tail but I think it might be to late to save it and I am worried.  Will it grow back and is it bad for the snake?
