Our year-old male Cairn, Seamus, has recently started obsessing on shadows and light beams on the floor. Sometimes, he's so obsessed he neglects food, toys, everything to focus on these, scratching, biting the hardwood floor, tearing up bits of carpet, etc. Anyone have encouragement or solutions ideas? Thanks.

I ALSO HAD A YOUNG CAIRN THAT DID THIS. MY KIDS FOUND IT TO BE VERY AMUSING. MY VET , HOWEVER SAID THAT THIS OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR SHOULD BE DISCOURAGED AND A HEALTHIER FORM OF EXERCISE/PLAY SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED.WHEN SHE WAS TOLD NO AND STOPPED FROM DOING THESE TYPE OF ACTIVITIES,SHE FORGOT ABOUT IT,AT LEAST FOR THE MOMENT.
