I am new in C++. Following syntax does not work with Windows...

I am new in C++. Following syntax does not work with Windows XP:
....

ofstream outFile;
outFile.open("prn");
outFile << " This is what?" ;
....

Above noted should have printing directly to printer but there is happened nothing !

What Should I have to provide in header file?
