WE HAVE A 1995 DODGE DAKOTA TRUCK AND IT DIES WHEN IT GETS HOT.  I HAD A MECHANIC LOOK AT THE TRUCK AND HE SAID THERE WAS A "DEAD SHORT".  HE WOULD NOT TELL US WHERE THE SHORT IS UNLESS I GAVE HIM $1500.00 -  I DID NOT HAVE THAT MUCH MONEY, SO HE WOULD NOT HELP ME.  I HAVE TRIED REPLACING THE OVERDRIVE CYLINOID & COIL.  I HAVE CHECKED THE FUEL PUMP AND THAT'S FINE.  THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT BLINKS RANDOMLY.
I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE DIFFERENCE IS BETWEEN A SHORT AND A DEAD SHORT.  I'M NOT SURE HOW I CAN FIND OUT WHERE THE SHORT IS WITHOUT PAYING A FORTUNE.
