This might be a stupid question but here it goes.  I had a ac service guy check out my unit.  He told me my fan on the outside condensor unit was running backwards. ( somehow it was) I question that because I just checked it and cleaned it and was fine.  He went to fetch another motor to install, I pointed out that the motor was the very same.  So I had him reinstall the old motor and guess what, it was turning the correct direction, like it was before he arrived.  I'm not that familar with caps, so I was wondering if it was possible to reverse the polarity there or on another component.  This is a single phase 220 unit, so you just cannot swap the leads.  Any help would be grealty appricated.  It still cost me $220 and he did nothing, was going to cost $560.
