What RPMs should a 2000 VW New Beetle with 2.0 and Auto...

What RPMs should a 2000 VW New Beetle with 2.0 and Auto transmission turn at 70MPH. Mine reads 2700, that seems a bit high.
Any idea what the RPM's should read on the tach at 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 MPH?
