I moved into my house about 3 years ago and all has been well until recently.  I have a bathroom exhaust fan wired into a single circuit with 4 recessed ceiling lights.  The lights are 50W halogen spots and I think they are probably 12V with mini transformers.  The fan comes on with the lights and stays on for about 10 to 15 minutes after the lights are turned off.  In the past few weeks I have noticed that when the lights are turned on the fan doesn't operate correctly - it seems to pulse and as time goes on the severity is getting worse and now at the point where the fan sounds like it isn't turning.  However, as soon as you turn the light switch off the fan resumes normal operation.  I'm guessing I may have a faulty transformer on one of the halogen spots or perhaps a component of the circuit that controls the fan's operation with a switch.  Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this problems before I start stripping everything down by guesswork?
