We used to have film monitoring equalisers in film monitoring amplifiers in  recording studios. These used to give a cut of 6db per octave for high frequencies for  monitoring programmes during film mixes {mono} .What I understood was that it almost resembled the frequency response from the film projector at  exhibition halls. With the advent of surround mixes, Dolby digital and DTS etc  the standards must have changed and those surround mixing studios defenitely  have amps with full frequency response. But, still there are theaters with only mono tracks and studios who only do mono mix. What about the monitoring response of those studios? If they change to monitors without the film monitors equalising, wont they be misjudging the result.Anybody wiith experience in this field please reply
