I've been getting $2 bills from local banks. Went through about 50 so far. Spent what I didn't want to keep. I found a 1976, $2 with only 7 serial numbers, not including the letters. It's number is "B2376571 A". There's an extra space between the last number and the last letter... Is this normal??
Thanks, Dave

Hi..no it's not normal your note should have 8 digits. If it's a legit error and not made by someone erasing it after it left the Bureau of Engraving and Printing I don't think it would get much collector interest.Take it to your local coin/currency dealer in your error and see if he says it has any value. If so then I would list it on ebay.
