I have a 1979 Chrysler 300 Cordoba that is having trouble...

I have a 1979 Chrysler 300 Cordoba that is having trouble starting. When it does start and we put it in gear and go it dies. We put in a fuel pump and coil in it. if you have any sugestions let me know?
