Well, i'ma Dad, and we have a colicky month old boy. I swear none of us would get any sleep if we didn't take shifts with him. Luckily i was able to take off of work to be home. He is worse usually in the evenings. We were feeding him breast milk in a bottle,(not actually breast feeding because he got so frustrated and had trouble latching on), my wife cut out dairy and caffine for a few days and it didn't help. Then we went to iron supp. formula, then to soy based formula. The doctor has now put him back on breast milk and supplimented with a special formula designed to help with colic. That was today and he is finally quiet, for now. Someone talked about the daddy dance? He is sometimes quieted by my dancing and singing to him, bouncing a little and swinging. When i stop and put him down, he starts up again. Mylicon helps a tiny bit and he gets very angry at diaper changes and when he has gas. He won't sleep flat on his back and he prefers his bouncer. Any other ideas? I will have to go back to work soon and don't want my wife to have to do it alone. I may see about getting a swing.
