I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and when running, it often acts like it is gasping for air and the Check Engine light comes on. Sometimes it stays on for days and other times it goes out if I restart the engine. When I asked my backyard mechanic to check it out, he told me the oxygen censor was fine. Then someone else told me there were probably 4 different oxygen censors in this vehicle. So, does anyone know how many oxygen censors there are in this vehicle? I'd like a little more info under my belt before I take it to a "real" mechanic.
