Hey yall i got my done about a few years ago and i love it! it's the best but when you first get it done it don't hurt a lot it feel like when u first got your ears done lol well it may get infected a few times but they should have gave you a red or pink paper whne you first got it done saying what you should do if it's infected or what happens when it's getting infected it's normal for it to get infected because it's just a new hole for your body and ya lol, I know some of you chaged your barbell before the 6 months was over but you shouldn't because it is not done healing your body may heal fast then someones else's but it's best not to change it for 6 months i should know but if you have any Questions i can try and help like when i got mine done i was 13 and now i am 15 so i been though a lot with it lol but bye

I got my done in Sept... I took the ring out after 3 weeks and it was fine. Not infected at all. I've changed it so many times and it's perfect. I've never once had an infection. I will be red for a long time, usually until it's done healing. Mine is still red because it's not done healing, but I can change the ring. I know it's because she pierced it really under my skin... like far in. Mine cost 80$, but different places have different prices..so it varies. Umm.. yeah, my piercing hurt only because she JABBED the needle in me haha... and yeah, i couldn't sit properly for a couple days. buuuut that's just me. everyone is different. i would totally recommend getting it done though. it's worth it!! they are really cute and fun.

hey! i got my belly button pierced Oct. 4,2003 and I'm 15......me and my best friend went together...she went first she screamed and then almost passed out...it scared me really bad but she told me it was b/c she doesn't like needles so since it took me a month to get my parents to let me do it i decided i wasn't going to back out now.....i went through with it and i will be honest it did hurt but only the clamp and the first poke of the needle just b/c of the shock....i have heard that it will stretch when u have kids but the way i look at it by that time i won't want it anymore...i also know someone that has her bellybutton pierced and has 2 kids and hers did not stretch so idk.....but the pain isn't too bad and i got the barbell b/c a bunch of my friends told me that if u get a ring then u won't be able to wear a barbell after it is healed....it only cost me $35 at Quest Tattoos in Nashville, TN......i would be sure to clean it and listen to what they tell u to do and DON"T change it before they tell u to they told me 3 months so jan 4 but i did change the ball....if u want to make the barbell cuter just go to Claire's and buy some colorful replacement balls.....goodluck....jen if anyone has any questions feel free to e-mail me jmz277@hotmail.com i will be more than happy to help

Hey...I had my belly button pierced in May of this year. The piercing did hurt, yes...and my stomach area around my belly button hurt for like a week. Whenever I bent over to pick something off the floor or sat up or down, my belly button hurt. If you like sleeping on your stomach, you'll have to sleep on your side or back for a while after the piercing is done because (if yours is anything like mine was), sleeping on your stomach with a new belly piercing is hell lol OUCH!!! Also, don't play with your belly ring or it will get infected...you should only touch your belly ring when you're washing it (your hands must be washed and clean)! I washed mine twice a day and used bacitracin ointment (costs about $5 for generic) on it after washing it to prevent and treat minor infection. I didn't change my belly ring until 3 months after I had it pierced. Now my piercing is fine and never hurts at all...most of the time, I forget its even there. My only problem now is finding really cute belly rings for a cheap price. Hope I helped you guys out.

Hey Everyone! Wut up? Ntmh...I'm 12 I got my belly button pierced last night! I just wanted to let all the people who are thinking about getting thier belly buttons pierced know that...It doesn't hurt just a tiny pinch! Believe me I know I hate needles and I went through with it! My parents sis and one of my Bff's came with me! I got to the place and started to freak! Especially wen he layed me on the table I wanted to leave but my bff (Chelsie) didn't let me chicken out! He made Chelsie leave the room cuz it was small. Then he told me to calm down so i did. The he got all ready and said okay your done and I said that's all? Lol I got worked up for nothing! So don't do what i did u'll feel stupid!

Ok guys I got mi belly button done saturday it didnt hurt at all im 15 and actually it was mi moms idea to get it done. imagine that thats how not big of a deal it is she partly let me get it done cuz she had hers done and shes had no problems with it.she said as long as u keep it clean it'll be fine but u def need to but the bactine stuff and put on it 2wice s day or it WILL get infected. So u know if mi mom let me get mine done its really not that bad lol. and if ur nervous about it dont be u'lljust freak urself out like i did just relax and it wont feel anyworse than after u wear a fake belly buton ring 4 an hour plus think how cute u'lllook when u wear ur new tube top lol wel good luck and let me know how it goes :)

hey guys i just pierced my belly button 2 nights ago, 2 of my friends helped me. we did it with a big safety pin and it didnt hurt really at all. i think it hurt my friend's thumb more b/c she had to push so hard to get the pin thru. so far it looks REALLY good and is just a lil sore, but thats normal. we sterilized and cleaned everything with rubbing alcohol and used neosporin after we got the barbell in. the hardest part was getting the barbell in, but we found out it was best to leave the needle in and put in the barbell through the opposite end and follow the needle out. it really didnt hurt that much at all but im afraid of it getting infected. it doesnt seem any different from a professional peircing so i hope it doesnt. ill let you know how it goes.

Hey Yall! I've had my belly button done for awhile now, and just to let ya know, it DOES hurt. I wont lie and say it doesn't, but the pain only lasts for 3 seconds. In my opinion, cartilage hurts worse. I'd much rather get my belly done. Mine wasn't red afterwards, but it did have a little bit of blood coming out of the top hole, which was totally normal. It didn't puss, but its also normal for it to do so. Its just part of the healing process. In order to clean it, dont use petroleum based antiseptics. It will just get in the hole and make it harder for it to heal. I suggest "Band-Aid Hurt Free Antiseptic wash". Its a liquid and doesn't hurt a bit. Plus it makes it a lot easier to clean your belly button. Dont baby it either! Try to slide the ring/barbell (I had mine done with a barbell) around to keep it from scabbing up. Hey well all you wondering what to get ur belly pierced with out of a ring or barbell well the barbell would probably be the better option but only because the ring flaps around and it makes it hard to sleep on ur tummy but you can ask your piercer and he/she will give you advice on what to choose, and besides if you get a barbell or ring pretty soon you will be able to change it anywayz. Plus if you chicken out coz you think it will hurt you'll most probably b kickin urself later on. Also dont do it yourself it may be cheaper or you might be able to get away wifout havin parental consent but there is a high chance of it getting it infected and septic, if you use a safety pin and leave it in it can also damage the piercing. try as hard as u can 2 get it done professionally.

hey everyone, most peoples belly piercings STAY red for about a year!! yeah it hurts when you get it done, and UMMMM if you live a farmish town, they sell piercing needles at the feed stores. you're supposed to get it done with HOLLOW 14 GAUGE NEEDLE, not no 18 gauge earring!! thats freaking insane. and pus is normal as long as its not real green or brown. blood is normal for the first few weeks too. yes you can workout adterwards, and none of yall really sound infected. you wanna see a picture of my first serious (and hopefully last!) infection, e-mail me, i'll send you the picture. oh yeah, if your mom doesnt know you have it done, (like my mom doesnt) take the ring out and clean and drain it real good, then put a piece of gauze over it (with the ring still out!) and just poke the ring through when you clean it (do that 2ice a day!) and also, some people dont need to clean theirs 3 times a day after the first 6 months, i cant, i only do it ONCE every OTHER day, any more and its gets real irratated. oh yes, and also, after my infection, it started "eating through", thats where the skin that holds the ring gets reall small, my friend re-pierced it for me and it looks great now, plus, all the scar tussue from the infection is there in the middle, so im practiacllay gaurenteed for it to never eat thru again. :) hope this helps yall! this is to everyone, I am a professinal piercer. I have done many belly buttons and there honestly is nothing to worry about. I have the top and bottom done. When you go to the piercing parlor they take you into the room, tell you to lay down. Then they clean your belly button and the area around it. Then they clamp it. If they are a good place they have the needles and body jewlery in indivials wrappers. Next they soak the needle and jewlery in some stralizing liquid. Wat i do is i tell my client to take a deep breath in then as they exhale i put the needle throw. The Best thing to get it pierced with is a ring!! The reason why is because you can move the ring around so the medicine can get in their and do its job. There should be redness around the top and bottom for about 4 weeks. Also anthore thing is when you get it done with a barbell it could be too small because of the swelling so the top or bottom of the barbell could sink into your belly button. The best things to clean it with in anti infiction cream baqution I think that is how you spell it, also is saline soutlotion. Well, I did it myself on thursday (1/22/04) ive done my third earlobe holes, two cartilage, and now navel. its sore, but mostly the sore is from some unknown factor... it appeared after I numbed it... don't ask me... shrugs besides my unknown wound, the actually piercing holes are doing OK. it hurt really really bad to do it. it like got stuck at the bottom layer. i guess i have tough skin. ouchie. i did it with a safety pin. i kno anybody thats reading this is thinking, 'she's stupid!' but i have a could immune system i guess... none of my piercings have ever gotten infected, knock on wood. but to everyone else out there, dont do it yourself! its a lot easier, quicker, and less painful to go to the experts, even if it costs a lil more.

This is for moomoo. I have had my belly done for a year now. I wanted to get the bar bell @ first but they told that the ring is made of better stuff so its better to start out with...and i said i wanted the barbell cuz i herd the ring gets cot on stuff...she said they both do and she has has the ring for a few years and it never has..mine has not ether!!! The ring is also really easy to clean the barbell is to but the ring is easier. So i would so get the ring it may not be as cute but i mean its better to have one that is just just not as cute and easy 2 clean so wont get infected as easy as comp. to just getting a barbell cuz its cuter :) hope i helped if any1 need any info just e-mail me @ megan_mann2001@yahoo.com ~Megan

For all the people panicking about belly button piercing, I got mine done by a professional about a year ago and I'll explain some things. It should ONLY be pierced by a gage needle made from surgical steel (sterilised) and done by a professional. If you have it freezed it doesn't hurt at all (as it's numb). Otherwise, it hurts for a little while. It may bleed a little at first. The first 8 weeks you shouldn't remove your sterile bar. You need to give it time for the hole to heal, and it will swell up and cause alot of pain and infection if you change the bar before then. It's normal for it to have dry/dead skin around it, aswell as it being read, for the first few weeks. Think about it, it's like a cut in your skin, it wants to heal but it cant so it's going to be red around it. Cleaning it every day with anti-bacterial should help in the first few months, to prevent infection. Changing bars every few weeks (I still do this now) stops infection occuring from dirt getting behind the bar. If it pusses a little at the beginning, don't worry. At the end of the day, you've just put a hole in your skin, and it is very sore. The puss around it (in modetation) actually helps the skin to stay lubrucated (as you get dry skin easily around it).

i just got my belly pierced a month ago and the guy was a professional. he told me i should wash it with antibacterial liquid soap (i used protex) 3 times a day and after each wash to use antibiotics cream. as long as u take care in such way for 15 days and do not leave it to get messed up, it will be ok. mine'sok now. after 15 days, you use any cream, like nivea or bepanthene, in order to keep it oily and keep movin it in and out so it becomes like an earring. but its better to wash with antibacterial first and then put cream. Also, the belly button with throw out some white-ish liquid-like thing.. It's better if you squeeze ur belly button and clean that liquid like thing with tissue. But never squeeze it within those 15 days.

ur all gonna call me stupid for doin this but i dont give a f ne who plz help ok my mom said i cant get my belly pierced but she should kno by now that if she says no she wont help me ill just find a way to do it myself so i pierced my belly button but i had a dull saftey pin so it didnt go all the way thru then i bought sharper ones and tried to re-pierce it but there was like a layer of hard and thick and really white skin on the bottom and i cant get through it ive even tried cuttin it out but it doesnt work so i got a belly clip in the top and it doesnt go thru the bottom but its all healed and surprisingly never even got infected..how can i finish my piercing and get through that layer of skin?? o and im using that stuff they give u when u pierce ur ears and it works great thx plz email me with help!! snoboardbabe00@yahoo.com yeah and i heard theirs a vein in ur belly button i got around it but if u guys are gonna peirce ur own belly buttons careful for that!! thx bye

i just got my belly button pierced last night. i am 11 and my bf and mom went with me. it didn't hurt as much as i thought it would. the guy piercing me told me exactly when he was going t put the needle in. it hurt for about 3 seconds but when i looked at my mom when he put the needle in all she did was cover her mouth and make a face. she still doesn't like the fact that i got my belly button pierced.and the fact that i have my ears pierced like 30 times. she says piercings are so gross. i think piercings are so cool. anyway, i also got my nose pierced with my grandma, the people piercing me actually thought she was my mother, cause she looks so young. anyway, all i'm trying to say is belly button piercings are okay to get, even when you're 11, just get parental permission!ion
