My 1984 Chevrolet Celebrity Station Wagon with a 2.8L carburetor engine's problem is:
The engine light goes on periodically & will often stay on.

I have been told it could be the Coolant Temperature Sensor &/or the water Temperature Switch.
However, my Haynes book shows a 2.8L engine layout, but it is of a Fuel Injected model.

I bought both parts, but what I believe is the Coolant Temp Sensor doesn't look exactly the same though it does have a Black & a Yellow wire coming out of it.

And... the Water Temp Switch is not shown where it is.

I would like any help to be more certain that I am covering my bases with these two items, but also I'm trying to find a clear picture of this engine Showing Exactly where these items are located, if possible.

Please advise.
Thank you all who try to help!

Jerry
