Is Digital Subscriber Lines in India?

Yes, In india there are so many companies who are offering DSL. Like Bharti'sTouchTel, DishnetDSL, Spectranet, even BSNL is offering some sort of DSL. It's bandwidth is 128Kbps and it is Indigenous technology developed by IIT. It was first offered in calcutta. Now it is available in almost every city in india. It is very cheap. It costs only Rs 850 for 500Mb per month and installation cost is only Rs 2000.

that is ridiculous, 500mb for 850 rs???
i download nearly 1gb every day on my 256k connection, what would that mean to users like me???

what the hell is wrong with the govt of Punjab.we dont have DSL over here.On the other hand we have the highest customer base of mobile phones over here .is the govt sleeping or busy stuffing their pockets with money.when will we get broadband here in Punjab?its not even available here in big cities like Jalandhar and its sad at the part of the govt,we dont have good technology over here even when we are known as the state with the highest per capita income in India?is anyone listening?
