My 10 yr Green Card expired in January 2006.  I have applied to renew it but do not yet have my appt to get biometrics and temporary identity. I need to leave US for two weeks soon and other than the expired GC and UK passport I wont have any temp ID. Can I still gain re-entry?  I have been to my local office who were very unhelpful and said I could not be seen until I had appointment for biometric stuff. Ditto on the customer service phone line.  Frannie
