I have a Golden Retriever with registration not AKC.  We bought him as a Golden Retreiver, blond.  He is now 6 months old and curly as can be.  Not wavy.  This is our second Golden so we were surprised at his curly locks.  He is a wonderful dog, his hair is very sheddy and frizzy.  Is it unusual for a tan colored Ret to be curly.  I never contacted the people we purchased him from.  I have been reading about curly coated.  They are always black or dark brown.  Is my baby a defect?
