Can you take the small dishes from one place and use them at another location without added cost?

we have a small round direct TV and we move from place to place and we can not get-are satellite to work what can we do

Unless they've changed their policy, DISH Network for example asks that you simply call them and let them know you're moving, and they will send you a NEW satellite dish to your old address.

The point is that they want those dishes to remain in place so that the new residents at your former address will be "advertised" into possibly subscribing.

They will send the Dish to you for free (although I think now they do charge you for shipping; they used not to even charge for that). You still have to pay for installation, though, IIRC.

(FWIW, I installed my first Dish Network system my own self. It really was kind of fun).
