I've just come into enough money to support myself for 6 months in the US. I'm planning to travel to Los Angeles and live there during this time.

While in LA I am going to write, and attempt to sell, a script for a film.  What visa should I apply for? I'd hate to write something that a producer would like to buy, but be unable to sell it due to visa problems.

you need a tourist visa ,and you will have enough time to do youre script and have fun at the same time..
