My cat is 8 years old (human years.)  He was closed up in my bedroom for a short time of approx. 3 hours and used the bathroom, both #1 and #2, in my bed, on my husbands side.  I was asleep, and my husband was at work on the 3rd shift. My cat did not bother to wake me.  I can't understand what is wrong.  Why in the world did he do this.  I was so extremely upset when I woke up at 1 am to use the restroom, I came back to bed and pulled the covers up a bit, and there it was.  One spot of urine at my husbands feet, side of the bed, and the feces at the top.  Please help me in understanding why!!!
