What is the average life span of a minature dashound?  Mine is now 5 years old and was diagnoised at age 2 with a tyroid problem and is on medication.  He weighs 19 pounds and is active.  He also has skin rashes that look like crusty sores.  The vet keeps giving him steriods and anitbotics.  These sores are not fugus. He has been tested for that. I am concerned because he is going bald in alot of spots.  Can anyone answer these questions.
