we have a 31/2 month old male chi  and have only had him a couple of weeks. .we put him in a crate and litter box behind his bedding.he will pee and poop when we  are gone in the litter box. but when you open the door he will only pee in the litter box by himself not poop seems to be where ever. is this setup ok and how do we get him to poop in the litter box with out confining him?
