my 3.9l dodge van 2500 started to sputter on the freeway...

my 3.9l dodge van 2500 started to sputter on the freeway then had to be towd home. now ive tried to start this morning holding the pettel to the floor .it starts but is not running correctly sputtering power loss sound. Oil  pressure lit is showing signs of some problem there .possibly oil pump went out?
