My chihuahua pup woke up this morning w/ a swollen left...

My chihuahua pup woke up this morning w/ a swollen left eye...her energy level is the same, and seems to be eating fine, overall she looks normal..could a spider bite or mosquito bite cause this? she is an indoor dog the only times we take her out is for vet visits or for play in the back yard. should I take her in to the vet or can I treat this at home? anyone w/ similar experience......thanks
