I have a 1987 Dodge Shadow with a 2.2L engine. I replaced the Bosch 90 Amp Alternator, but the output is 11.4 volts. I then bought an external metal voltage regulator from NAPA. The problem is that I cannot find this part anywhere on the car. The Chilton manual says that some models have a computer that controls the voltage. I called the dealership and they said that they don't have any data on a car this old. Where is the voltage regulator on this car? I cannot find any definite information on this subject. Also, could there be something else that I'm missing?
