THIS MAY SOUND STUPID, BUT HERE GOES, I PURCHASED A USED 1999 DODGE DURANGO 4X4 AND IT HAS ONE OF THOSE 4X4 SHIFTERS ON THE FLOOR IN THE MIDDLE. MY QUESTION IS WHAT GEAR SHOULD THAT BE IN WHEN I AM DRIVING NORMALY ON THE HIGHWAY AND RESIDENTAL STREETS? SHOULD IT BE IN NEUTRAL, 4H, 4L, 2L? THE OWNERS MANUAL WAS NOT INSIDE WHEN I PURCHASED AND I AM UNSURE BECAUSE THE ENGINE IS FINE BUT I DONT SEEM TO BE GETTING THE PROPER FUEL MILEAGE OUT OF THE VEHICLE.
